Jetts maybe you should stick to the ford forums where you MAY have some knowledge aye.

Stock standard they are all pretty close, GTR's that is. 0-60mph is around the 4.8 second mark give or take a .1 or 2. There are far too many variables.

As far as actual hp from the factory, as it is claimed at 280ps or about 275hp they are actually quite a bit more.

With the restrictor plug in the factory boost control line they are generally near 300-315 for the R32 and R33. Where as the R35 is closer to 350hp.

PMSL at last comment!

Stock R34 does 60 in 4.6, in the most optimum variables/factors. Poorest time is 5.2 (all secs).

UK-spec R34 GT-R has 320AWHP at crank = 280AWHP at the wheels. That is a drivetrain loss of just over 10%, which is very good, seeing as though rival 4wd performance cars such as the Evolution make a drivetrain loss of 20%.

Your 10% driveline loss is horse hockey.

With the way the driveline system works, the % will change during any amount of acceleration since you have torque going to the front wheels. A normal standard car is around 18-22%, Autos 23%-27%.

I am under the impression that when just the rear wheels are ingaged the loss is around 20%, and when in full awd it closer to 25%-26%. But like I said, it cannot be standard % since power is increased and decreased at differnt rates throughout the whole drive train, meanning the more power going to the front, the higher the % will be.

LSR,
If your are going to give out info, try to know what you are talking about.

A lot also depends on the dyno and the software used by it. As an example the dyno at Torque Performance where I go they have been working relentlessly on developing a software package that will compensate for the drive line losses from 2wd to 4wd.

We have put my GTR up on a number of occassions now in both 2wd and 4wd. It has produced simular numbers in both configurations withing 1%.
Dyno's that are unable to do that or houses that honestly have not time or can't be bothered usually go off a set percentage loss. From car to car it makes it difficult because each drive line is slightly different and the effiency of it make calculating percise numbers that much more difficult.

I just read this. This is how I have always looked at it.

Godzilla breathes fire
Just a quick shot of Golgo (R33 GTR VSpec) getting ready to toast marshmallows on the dyno at last weekend's Melbourne Auto Salon.

The pic

The car is pretty stock (exhaust, pods & AVCR) and recorded 194kw at all 4.

We (Skylines Australia - VIC) won the dyno comp with another purple R33 GTR (Leewah) running 426kw at all 4 and 495kw at the rear.

SkylineUSA,

You know why I gave the theory I did. Someone somewhere else who owns the GT-R said what I typed in my first post here, and I took that and posted it here from knowledge, without sufficient research (researching a small issue like this isn't always easy).

Take my, or the original author's (on that other place) error down to their lack of research, not mine, as I simply used it.

I always thought that the drivetrain would be a lot more, as 10% seemed a lot less and every other 4wd performance car made a loss of 20% or more.
