the art of scraping bumpers :(

i recently moved into a new apartment building. its 3 bedrooms, but not exactly something ud call paradise... im 16, live wit my parents. but the story is. i was planning on putting the mugen style lip kit on my honda. i saw it on a accord at home depot a while ago, looks nice as hell. but one problem. my parking lot is like a demons hole. shit leaks, more shit smells, and even worse, the entrance is like literally on a 45 degree angle... my cuzin drove in on his stock eclipse, and scraped the front twice. i quivered in my pants, and since that day i was thinking of what im gonna do now...

1. park on the street (NEVER a spot open, only far from my balcony view)

2. find anothe garage and pay the manager to use a parking spot (havent tried yet, would this work?)

3. not put on the lips (which i REALLY want, like ... REALLY.)

4. youre screwed kid

i dont get how that technically works. i mean when my front comes off the slope and onto the straightway, it would still get caught, just backwards lol

do you have adjustable coilovers? this might seem kinda dumb, but if you have to put the lip on, then maybe you could raise you suspension up al little??

Actually that might make it worse. The main driveway to get to the parking underground at my work is off a main street and the angle isn't pretty either. I have to go around the back. But when i do take that driveway, if i hit it at an angle, i scrape. But if i'm coming off another street and hit it straight on, no scrape.

if you take it slow enough and hit the right angle, you won't scrape. it just takes practice...

hahaha....kill yourself.... . Just learn to do it...a little scrape won't really mess it up. You should take a closer look at lips and body kits. Most kits and lips on daily drivers are scraped at the bottom. To the point that if you scrape again then is just kinda slides and doesn't mess anything up. I know mines is like that already. Also...learn your streets...some you will not be able to travel on with that lip (and if your car is lowered).

That's pretty facked up. WTF kinda apartment is this with a crazy lift like that? Is your last name Jetson or somethin?

J/K Just gotta learn to deal with it or move out on your own. You pick which one is a better decision. I'm thinkin about puttin a lip on my Accord, but will prolly wait cuz the city I go to school in, Tallahassee, FL, is ALL HILLS. Steep ones too. I scrape my bumper on a lot of entrances and exits NOW. And I have stock bumper and ride height. That city is crazy! I go slow too
