Question h23a1? b16? What's the difference?

I have no clue what the differences are among the numbers that I see in posts about the engines. Is there a list of specs on each one and stuff like that? Thanks!

the numbers are the displacement in liters, b16 is 1.6 liters, and that h23 is 2.3 liters (rounded up)

Oh, cool! Thanks, fellas.

So that means that the engine in my 88 Prelude is a B20 something?

No, he's right....

The 88 has a b20xxx motor....It has VERY little in common with the newer b20's found in the Honda Crv. I dont think any other Honda/Acura came with a b20 besides those 2 cars....

I knew they are 2.0 and 2.1L (I think there's a 2.1 ) but I just assumed that they would be H or F series... strange as hell why they changed them like they did
