Quick Question on removing Crank Bolt

I just want to make sure I am turning this thing right.

Is this a standard threaded bolt, or is it one of those left threaded bolts where righty is loosen??

I think we have torqued the heck out of this bolt and it hasn't come loose yet. Broke an impact socket!

Thank you.

Nobody?? I know I haven't given too much time, but I am heading over there to work on it again and I would hate to waste another evening.

Still amazed at no answer. I am used to the Mustang forums I guess.

Maybe I should have posted with a thread name of Integra's suck.

flip a coin. I can't remember which way it goes, but is there a little of the thread exposed? You can look at the direction of the thread to determine which way it goes.

No thread showing. We broke a bunch of tools trying both ways. Borrowing a 3/4" impact next. 1/2" wouldn't do it and every tool we put on the breaker bar seems to snap. Thank God Craftsman has lifetime return!

Thank you for the reply.

Yeah, no problem. Sorry I couldn't help you more. Any local auto shop should know though. Did you soak the hell out of it with penetrating easy-off stuff, (I don't know what it's called)?
