apexi S-afc

what exactly is this thing? I was reading on the V-afc description that it will send a signal upon sensing boost in the manifold or if fuel delivery becomes 15% over stock, at least that's what I got from reding the description on the website, any info would be appreciated

its really the same thing but the vafc is more for vtec motors. the safc is a fuel control that let your adjust your fuel curve. the new safc has more point of adjustments 8 vs 12. They also have a 2 diffrent modes that you can switch. In other words you can tune one for street performance or full 1/4 race. One other nice feature is the knock sensor. dentonation is one of the most danerous enemy that a engine could face.

well the whole thing was I'm trying to get around running hondata, don't get me wrong verything I've heard avout them is good, but total cost for the ecu plus programming I'd need for it would easlily be over a thousand bucks, when maybe AFC coupled with some aquarium check valves or something like that would work just as well for gettign around the sensor problem, the whole idea is a low buck system with a little reliability (keep in mind i'm not made of money) I don't mind spending some cash to beef up the fuel system, nor the ignition, but the cost of the ecu reprogramming is outrageous, espicialy for FI applications, I'm not looking for a drag racing car or anything I just want to run about six or seven pounds of boost.

try that sight. its called the v-afc hack. s-afc is the same thing except no vtec control. this set up for the s/v-afc is used to run boost smoothly and is supposed to be be like a factory boosted car. no mods to the map at all. no check valves. i think you'll like it. you can find the injectors and fuel pump you'lll need for this set up on ebay for pretty cheap. i plan on doing this my self. good luck.

outstanding site, thanks for the info on that one, you don't happen to know how to install DSM injectors on a honda do you? I mean I'm pretty sure they are setup differently then on a DSM, and any idea if that thing would work alright with rc eng 450 injectors, I know that it should work fine but I just want to make sure.
