Is the new AEM V2 intake system really that much better than the original AEM CAI, or is it just a marketing scheme? What do you guys think?

I personally think its a waste of money on it, but according to dyno's it does increase horsepower.
If your like i was your thinkin how the hell does it increase h.p., because no matter how big is the tube they used to make it it still has to narrow down to fit into a stock tb, and there is only so much air you can put into a stock tb or any tb for that matter. But the way the new AEM v2 works is that changes the sound resonation of the air inside the chamber, making the air denser, allowing it to put more air into the same amount of space. Personally i dont think its worth the money, but according to dyno's it does add more h.p. over the normal AEM CAI's, and it does make sense of how it does it.

The only difference i think its the piping. They got the 4 inch piping now.

umm 99civic03, i have never changed my best time, ever since i joined AF. And yeah your right mellowboy they did change the size of thje piping but only the to change the resonating frequency.
