RSX Type-R?

Hey, my friend and I made a bet the other day. He said there is no such thing as an RSX Type-R and I said they have one in Japan, so we're wondering who is right since the information on the net is rather confusing, mixing the RSX Type-R and the Integra Type-R. Anyway, who's right?

They do have an "rsx type r" in japan but it is called the integra type r. In Japan, they don't have acura dealerships so they don't use the name "rsx" in their models. So, I guess technically you are wrong in saying that an "RSX Type R" exists because in Japan the rsx is called an integra. But whatever, its just a technicality. The American rsx is the still same car as a japanese integra (2002-present).

Plain and simple, RSX Type-R doesn't exist, even if you DO put a real DC5 ITR motor in an RSX, it'll never be a Type-R by chassis code. I know where I can usually find a DC5 ITR (Mugen'ed out at that) almost anytime I want to. Ahh, the joys of So. Cali life...

From what I understand...isn't it the Civic Type-R (out of Japan) that is compared to the RSX
Here it is the Acura RSX...There (Japan) it is the Honda Civic Type R
I apologize for sounding unkowledgeable but I have to admit...I am not in this arena...
Thnx in advance...

Nope. The RSX is the integra in Japan.
