Talking A Bit of Convincing

ok i won't lie, i used to be a hater, bigtime honda acura hater... but then i guess i matured and got wiser to what people including myself want in a car. anyway i need a reliable car, with some good gas milage that will get me where i need to go pretty quickly. i'm not asking for 12 sec. 1/4 miles or anytuing like that, but anyway, i need you all to do me a favor... convince me to buy a GSR... i'd look for like a 95-97 maybe, used, but the thing is i am still strongly against rice, so i am looking for some good points and reasons to buy it... and also please be honest, what about the down points of owning one as well...

(PS: i used to be known on these boards as "hondasuck" so i changed my handle to show some respect... please don't hurt me )

Ok I will go out on the limb here and help you. There is no downside that i can see for the gsr unless you want to go turbo then the ls will be cheaper and easier. In another post I see you were asking about ls/vtec stay away from it to start with b/c it takes alot of knowlegde about honda engines, its the same as with any companies engines you are better off staying with the stock design and learning about the motors. Then do something like the ls/vtec. Anyway, the gsr is more on insurance than a ls. I am a big fan of the integra and 94-96 would be a better choice b/c they are obd1 and that is easier to do stuff to then obdII. if you bought a gsr and did the basic i/h/e you could expect high 14sec 1/4 mile times and with some more intense work low times and it still be a daily driver.
P.S it is nice to see that you are interested in honda/acura, but don't listen to the ricer boys there are some on the boards from time to time
