Want to turbo Pulsar Q

Currently own a Pulsar Q and am hoping to Turbo it. unfortunately there is not much info to get in farnorth QLD so was hopin to get some help. If anyone has any help on what type of turbo kit works best or any info or prices on full turbo kits and everything needed to turbo a stock standard pulsar would be great

Best option is to swap in a CA18DET, but that's a bit of custom fabrication and new mounts. The current engine is not strong enough for turbo.

dude look at www.pulsar.org.au quite a few people have done that conversion in there, but go with a sr20det instead of a ca18det, its a better engine

Correct me if im wrong but im positive that a ca18 will fit perfectly into the engine mounts of an 18le pulsar. the sr20 on the other hand would require new engine mounts

you don't have to change the mounts, becasue the engine bolts into the same gearbox and the engine mounts a attached the gear box you would just have to make one at the top of the engine, but i recommend if your going to run hi boost and push the car heaps i would change the gearbox and run stronger mounts, and i recommend that you stick with the ca18det engine i have been told they have a shorter stroke then the sr20 engine so they rev better and they have a better head valve setup or something not sure just read a report on the internet and the ca18det when compared to a standard sr20 arent too bad and are lot cheaper and fit easlier.

Re: Want to turbo Pulsar Q

Definitely a CA18DET, they are easier to fit and would not put to much stress on the gearbox / chassis and would be easier to get engineered...
Fit slotted disc rotors and you will be flying in no time... Check out any reputable engine importer!
