BMW 1 Series engines seem to be a mixed bag depending on year and engine choice. Some run flawlessly with good maintenance, others can be sensitive to oil quality and timing components. Curious to hear what setups people have had the best long-term luck with small tip though, keeping oil changes frequent really seems to make a big difference on these.
