Porsche 911 992 Carrera

[Deathtrap]

A project that I'm working on for the past year, but because of some forum issues overhere, have not posted earlier.
So let's start with a short trip down memory lane...

On instagram I've met this designer Denilson, who has created the awsone 3D design of the Porsche 911 992 Carrera.

Back to the model. This is not your regular kit, but one you need to print before assembly.





The kit has loads of details including moulds for vacum forming the windows, instruction sheet for building and a sheet to print your own decals.


This is my aim, in Gentian Blue Metalic.


The prints took a few days, but the result is very nice.
There are a lot of support attachments to sand. So mask on, air filter on and start sanding...




After (wet) sanding and scribing, the body starts to look pretty nice.



A slightly more challenging task was to remove the supports in the window frames



After spraying some primer, I inspected the body and fixed some imperfections. And it was time to fit the bumpers

And then it was time for paint:

The interior is done and ready to be put in the car.
Here is the final WIP picture


And yesterday the gloss lacquer was applied


I'll this to cure and than polish it smooth.
