Unhappy check engine light on the 95 nissan altima

hi all,

my car just crossed 90,000 miles and the CHECK engine light showed up on it. i dont know what it means and am worried about the same.

i had an engine leak problem a few months ago and spent a bundle rectifying it at the nissan dealership. i checked for oil but there does not seem to be a leak there. and the oil level seemes ok and mellow brown in color since not even 3000 miles are done since the repair job. please help me with the same as i being a student do not want to spend 100 on just getting it checked up and would appreciate any insights into the problem.

please email me at [email protected] if u know a possible reason, thanks a million...

if the engine light and the break light both turns on, i would suggest you that your alternator might have problem and need to be replace. as you mentioned, you might not have the car services done follow by schedue, thus more problem might come up as well. so don't try to save money on the schedue car services coz if you didn't, the cost when problem comes up will always way much than what you have saved from.

please note, i am not a pro. so if somewhere somehow i said something wrong, please feel free to correct me.
