Transmission fluid

I have a 2016 Toyota corolla with a manual transmission. How often should the oil be changed? Is there a difference dips tick? How do you change the fluid

Re: Transmission fluid

Often manual transmissions do not have a dipstick. How often the fluid should be changed, and what type of fluid to use, should be identified in the owner's manual. If you do not have an owner's manual for your car you may be able to download a PDF copy from the manufacturer's website.

Changing the fluid on a Toyota usually entails making sure you can remove the fill plug, then removing the drain plug and draining the fluid out. If you're planning to perform this and other service on your Corolla, I'd suggest you invest in a service manual for your car. It should provide you with many of the answers you're going to be seeking specific to your car.
