RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid review

I believe there is some amazing engineering put into this car and it will likely be the model (SP) that I will ultimately replace my 2007 RAV4 with. Are there many negatives other than you having to charge it to get the electric motors (front and rear) to drive the car? I know the range isn't ideal (~40 miles) but I like it better than the standard RAV4 hybrid because of the additional horse power. It can provide power to the drive train in concert with the ICE.
