definately coilovers especially if you live in an area where you will be using your car in winter (raise it back up in winter) also you can slam it at shows and such and raise it up off the ground for the drive home. basically they are alot more versatile and probly depending on what brand will improve your ride alot more than just springs.

by the way i kinda like Tein.

Are you guys talking about true full coilovers or just the cheap sleeve kind?

If you arent gonna get true coilovers, I would recommend getting springs, the cheap sleeve kind have been known to be crap.

How exactly do you mean? What experiences have you have with them? So if I bought Skunk2 coil-over sleeves and slapped them on some AGX adjustables or Tokiko's are they still crap? But anyways explain what exactly makes them crap. I don't understand your logic.

not exactly crap unless used with stock shocks, but the ones that come together are a little more reliable, they are engineered and tested to be used together and i just feel that even though more expensive it is the way to go

besides if you are spending the money on the sleeves and the shocks then you might as well buy ones that are made together. the Tein ones that i am getting come with adjustable shocks, and the adjustable coil spring for 750 , not bad i feel especially for such a good name

I completely agree but coilovers alone is not what makes the ride crap. It's people lowering too much. Springs and oem shocks are the same at killing oem shitty ass Civic struts. I've gone both routes with H&R springs and cheap ass coilovers and I'd still take coil-overs anyday. Adjusting ride height at any time is always a plus. Gas shocks will be needed any route you decide to take. Full coil-over kits are the best but Tokiko's and coil-overs will suffice.

I paid 300 for Tokico's and a 100 for coil-overs and have no complaint's. Eventually I plan to get a full coil-over kit but I am in no rush.

im confused?

ok guys so i guess coilovers are the best but u guys lost me with the whole true coilover thing. on modacar.com they show coilovers for like $1,000 isnt that overpriced? When i looked at the skunk 2 coilovers they were only around 300. Am i lookin at the cheap version or are they just much cheaper than the others.

Also where online can i find and buy the true skunk 2 coilovers? I'd appreciate someone to clear this up thanks

Personally i would get the adjustable skunk 2 coil overs, if ne thing they would help handling, because they stiffen up the suspension.

just to add my $0.02. I have number one sleeve coilovers, tokico's in the back and stock up front (the bvack struts needed to be replaced so i went ahead and got tockicos). I lowered it right above the tire all around. Rides great as long as you don't go down a road with hella potholes of course. my only problem now is camber
