The thing about automobiles that sucks:
the gentler they ride over even rough roads and the roomier and comfier they are, the more they cost to drive, purchase, own and fuel. I wish the auto industry would change all that.

Much of the ride is because of wheel base, weight and suspension. Cars have been getting more fuel efficient slowly but it takes years of research. Now that more hybrid cars are being made average MPG will rise faster. Competition between car companies will make them improve.
