Need help with the windshield wiper circuit diagram

Hi All, I am hoping to get some help about the windshield wiper motor.
Vehicle: Outlander II CW 2010
  • Terminal 5 is the -ve Gnd.
  • Terminal 1 - High speed
  • Terminal 4 - Low speed

As per the actual circuit,
  • The circular switch, connects terminal 1 to 4 or 1 to 2.
  • The output to the motor is terminal 5 (-ve Gnd) and 3 or 4 with diff capacitance.

As per the circuit diagram from the repair manual:
  • A cam like symbol is connecting terminal 4 to 3 or 2. Now this is diff from what i am seeing on the actual circuit.
  • The relay's solenoid is being powered by the ACC/ON power. Where is the power for the actual connections coming from?
  • How is the auto-stop connection working?

Thanks

Re: Need help with the windshield wiper circuit diagram

Got this resolved. For whoever needs it next

The pinout mentioned under A-08 didnt work for me. I had consider terminal 1 instead of 3 and terminal 3 instead of 1.

Then the actual circuit and the diagram are in sync. The terminal 3 can be connected to either terminal 4 or terminal 2 at any point in time.

I am attaching the updated diagram here along with the possible states of the R2 relay and the cam circular switch.

Thanks
