Car Won't Go - HELP

Hey guys, a few weeks ago while driving my car I all of a sudden lost the link between the motor and the wheels.

Motor runs fine, I can sit there and put it in every gear and the speedo goes up. The clutch sounds as if it is engaging. The CV's wobble but dont spin as there spost to.

What do you think is wrong?

THanks

transmission either ground the splines off the axels, or got it disonnected from them.

Uhm we drained the tranny fluid because we originally thought it was Clutch or tranny, how do we refill it we dont have anything that will pour it sideways...

Or would it be ok to run without fluid for a minute? Or very bad?

Thanks

just a minute should be ok, look at both sides, you may have a broken CV

Well we put the starter, distributor and linkage back on. And filled the tranny, but it wont start. Weve got spark and I think were getting gas but it wont turn over....

just try this then, lower one tire to the ground, put tranny in gear, by logic, you should not be able to turn the wheel in the air, if you can, look for broken pieces
