2008 LT 3.9l Active Fuel Management

2008 3.9L 175k miles I’m trying to find information on what conditions are required for the ECM to command the AFM to drop from 6 cylinder operation to 3 cylinder operation. I’ve found a lot of info on the solenoids and valve lifters that are used but nothing on the specific conditions required to active it.
Recently mine quit switching to 3 cylinder mode.

Generally engine temperature, % of engine load, certain sensor inputs within operating range. If you google this you will find what the pcm needs to see before it engages this function.

Thanks for the response. My google searches provided a lot of info on the solenoids, lifters and etc but I didn’t find much on the sensor inputs the pcm uses to determine when run 6 cylinders vs 3cylinders. Any suggestions on search terms?
