Evo IX looks...factual???

I'm not sure if this was mentioned on the other thread, called "Evo IX rumors," but I've noticed how the IX looks very similar to the Ralliart Lancer due out sometime this fall. So, maybe the Evo IX will turn out something like what's shown in the pictures because the chassis of the IX may be built off of the Ralliart Lancer. I have a picture here for comparison. On the left is the Ralliart Lancer. The middle and the right are the looks of the Evo IX.

Truth is, there probably aren't any official Evo IX pictures out yet, only speculation. The Evo VIII just made it's debut in Japan 4 months ago, and Mitsubishi tends to go about two years bertween new Evos. Therefore, it will be a while before we see anything concrete.

This seems to be the direction Mitsubishi is headed with their cars: bulgy headlights and sleek, edgy sides. Nowadays, many cars are trying to have the "egg" look. Ugh...The car on the left is the Galant and the one on the right is the Diamante. All are 2004 models.

VQuick, you ARE right on that. However, aren't all the Evolutions based on the Lancers? I'm not taking sides, but all I have to say is that whatever Mitsubishi is doing to their cars, I don't like it one bit.

Please have another read of the other thread, and then use some common sense.

There will most likely not be another EVO Lancer, there might to a basic restyle of the EVO VIII, but any new model will most likely be based on the new Colt/Mirage which Mitsi has decieded to use as the base for thier next WRC car.

And Ralliart is just the tuning arm of Mitsubishi, they are not designing a new model EVO, they are simply offering a styling and performance package for the existing car to increase its sales potential.

Sorry there, Moppie. I wasn't trying to say that "Yea, there is going to be a 100% chance of there being an Evo IX." Alls I was trying to do was make a comparison between the pictures of the Evo IX and the Ralliart Lancer. I had even put QUESTION MARKS after "factual," so please don't get offended by what I posted, or think I'm dumb.

Im not offended, and I dont think your dumb, but I also dont want people getting the wrong impression or mis-understanding what is being said in the thread.

The internet is a great source of information, but its an even greater source of mis-information, and this could easily turn into yet another example.
