Dash lights: ESP/BAS, ABS, No check engine light

Periodically the ESP/BAS light would come on in my '08 Charger. Now it's on all the time, and the ABS light decided to join the party. The check engine light is not on. I contacted a mechanic, and he said he couldn't help me unless the check engine light was on (no code to read?), and referred me to another shop. I'm just wondering what the issue may be before I throw a ton of money at this referred place. Also, how safe is it to drive to just get it there? Many thanks!!
