95 2500 Brake Vacuum Booster

For a few months now I have been hearing what I think is a slight whistling sound when I apply the brakes. I think it is the valve that allows atmospheric pressure into the booster to give the power brake feel. The brakes work fine, but find it strange that I started to hear this sound. Anyone come across anything similar?
