Turbocharged Grand Am??

Hey, I'm looking for a turbocharger for my 96 Grand Am. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a place that sells these?
Thanks,
Nick

P.S. I got the money so no worries there.

You got to give us more info, is it an SE, or a GT?

Also, this is a slow board, give it a week, then start complaining. Imagine being like me. the buick forums get about one reply to one thread per week, two if I'm lucky.

hey for a grand am you need to go to a custom turbo shop in your town and thay may need to custom fit the piping and intercooler if you need or want one and custom fabricate a turbo exhaust manifold for that year

answer to your quesion: no there are no turbos for grand ams what so ever the closest thing to that is the pontiac SUNBIRD TURBO back in the late 80's

alternative#2: just have your local performance shop swap the 3.8L GTP motor with CPU of course it would be a hell of alot easier and it would always be faster than any turbo you can put on it.

no it won't...

dropping a GTP engine into a grand am won't make it faster than any turbo you can put on a grand am ... that's just ignorant..

it's also not that easy swapping in a 3.8 into a grand am

you need the tranny, engine, pcm, wiring harness, and some good welding skillz to fabricate some mounts I'm sure...

if you have a 2.4L go over to j-body.org there are people there that can hook you up with the turbo manifold, and go with a nice T3 or T3/T4...

if you go on grandamgt.com and browse the boost forum.. there are people there who are in the process of turbocharging

the 3.8GTP swap has sort of become blazea (sp?) You have to get too much custom shit done to get it to work right.

If you own a 2.4TC then you have quite a few options. You can get custom turbo set ups from different companies cause its pretty much a cavy engine so tons of aftermarket support. Or you could always Supercharge your 2.4tc. There is a gentlmen in Texas with a Sc'd 2.4 runnin 14's on 19's.

If you have the 3100, eeek pretty much screwed. Either RSM blower thats WAY overpriced, or custom set up.
