Change 18" wheels to 16" wheels
I have a 2013 Sonata SE. The factory tires are 225/45R18. Other models use 205/65R16. I have done some looking and it doesn't appear that there is a different size rotor or caliper between the models. Wondering if anyone has any first hand knowledge going from the 18" to the 16". Thanks

Re: Change 18" wheels to 16" wheels
According to Tire Rack, this is doable.
My advice? Do this through someone like Tire Rach or Discount Tire. They will get the wheel offset correct. |

Re: Change 18" wheels to 16" wheels
You can go from 18" to 16" rim of the same car. However you might put starin on the suspension components doing so. a bigger tire might have a shorter traveling strut. which may lead to a failure of the seals and result in a replacement of the struts. Also it will affect your speedometer so proceed at your own risk.
