'94 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 Convertible (Monogram)
I start a new project. The idea is make a replica of this car, a Mustang SN95 Convertible
![]() The problem is that the normal version not exist in convertible, only the Cobra version. So I need two kits for this. ![]() The kits looks similar, but are completely diferent. The Monogram have the bumpers fixed in the body. Luckily, the AMT no. This is the cobra front bumper ![]() And this is the normal bumper that I need to adapt: ![]() Cut the original and adapt the new one: ![]() The same process for the rear bumper. The problem here are the letters. The Cobra kit says, logically Cobra. But I need the Mustang GT letters: ![]() ![]() Finally, the hood. The air ducts are different, so I need adapt the hood hinges from the AMT Kit: ![]() ![]() Thanks for watching |

Re: '94 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 Convertible (Monogram)
I put in his place the new rear bumper:
![]() And I traspass the hinges from the old hood to the new: ![]() Make some work for the proper hood adjustement: ![]() Erase the cobra logos: ![]() ![]() And the SVT logo: ![]() ![]() And finally, after repair minor scratches and work in the union between the body and the new bumpers, I apply the primer and the first paint hand: ![]() Let's go to the tailights. The '94 Mustang have a mask in the lights to the same body color. ![]() So I mask the lights: ![]() And apply primer and paint: ![]() ![]() I Put the ligths in the body, like the mirrors and the rear spoiler, for apply a second paint hand. ![]() And finally, this is the result with the gloss: ![]() ![]() ![]() I hope you like, thanks for watching and sorry for my bad english |

Re: '94 Ford Mustang GT 4.6 Convertible (Monogram)
Thanks all for the replies. Is near to end, but when I work I focus on the model and I dont remember to take pictures
![]() I paint he engine bay in the same color: ![]() Part of the chassis ![]() The cockpit in desert tan (is more dark than the photo) ![]() Flock the cockpit floor ![]() And the door panels: ![]() The colour is georgeous under the sun: ![]() I dont have more pictures from this point, because is an old kit, and the assembly is crap. I was fight with the kit for close the body. This is the actual state, just lack minor details to finish ![]() Thanks all for watching and for the coments. |
