2003 ALTIMA Back left door will not open

the left back door will not open. Neither inside or outside handle will work or the clicker. The solenoid for the door just makes a buzzing sound when using the clicker. The inside lock knob will not go to the fully unlock position. the door handles there is no resistance. I don't think i can get the inside door cover off. Looking at the other door that can open the cover has a flashing that goes out on either side of the door like a thin piece of plastic and is covered by the sill on the frame when the door is closed, so its wedged between the door and sill/frame.
