uuummmm, rotary engines don't have camshafts.

As for porting, a street port will give you considerable gains in hp and is well worth it if the engine is already being rebuilt.

Well. If you wanna go totally crazy get a periperal port. but that's for race only vehicles. But they're crazy. Bridgeports give big gains, but dont last very long. Standard streetport would be best.

Ive seen some peripheral ports that run better than a poorly done street port... Its not a race only application. They can definitely be streetable.

a streetable pp?

if you think an idle of 2k RPM, and having the powerband start at around 5k RPM is streetable. Not to mention emissions.

edit- As i've said before, i like to call the pp the "Ridiculous amounts of overlap causing pretty much loss of all low end power and torque-port"

lol, well streetability IS convinience to drive on the roads. Hell, a funnycar can be streetable, just extremly inconvinient to drive down the street to get a pack of smokes. Plus im sure funnycars arent smog legal either.

This is the beauty of my C-port... low end power, smooth, transistionless powerband.. near stock idle, but a PITA to get the engine management tuned...
