Crosswind Tires: Your Impressions?
I'm looking for opinions on the Crosswind tire make, particularly among sedan drivers.
Anyone ever heard of them? |

Re: Crosswind Tires: Your Impressions?
Are my posts nuts or something??
Folks, I'm asking questions about tires, not how far to space cauliflower in a garden here, or who won in Iowa! smh... |

Re: Crosswind Tires: Your Impressions?
I've never heard of CrossWind tires. A quick Google search indicates they are Chinese tires. I've heard warnings recently about the recent influx of Chinese tires not living up to safety standards. Apparently sometimes you may get what you pay for.

I enrolled in a protection plan for my recent car trade purchase, it includes tires, paint, upholstery, etc. The car is ten years old, in fine shape, but according to my local mechanic two of its tires exhibit signs of dry rot, and the front axle has two different models of the same brand! Acc. to them, "as-is" law exempts them from replacing the tires(car is > 7 years old). Under this plan, they put on only the cheapest tires available: Eldorados, Crosswinds, etc. I do have the option to upgrade, which I will exercise. |

Re: Crosswind Tires: Your Impressions?
Probably a wise choice to upgrade. Hopefully the upgrade cost is directly linear to the difference in what you can get a better tire for. Good luck!

Plan worked flawlessly. The difference I paid was exactly the difference I looked up on-line. No hidden installation fees, etc. I got Pirelli's 'Cinturato' P7 II Grand Touring All-seasons on the Accord, 94V rated instead of the recommended 93V, which in the size the Honda requires are becoming scarcer than hens' teeth |
