01 Alero - headlights won't turn off

wife went to start the car and the battery was completely dead - after fully charging the battery it started right up but the headlights will not turn off which, of course, is why the battery went dead. I unhooked the light switch in the dash, set and unset the parking break, pulled and replaced the fuses. I'm out of ideas - any help would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a relay is stuck.
