Thumbs up Car sound?

Hey, i’m New here so sorry if it’s the wrong forum to ask!

But when i started my Volvo v70 with straight pipe it wouldn’t start, it’s just cranking but after like 10 times it started and it poped like a damn gun lmao,

My question is why does it sound that good always after a few cranks and then startup? And how can I make it sound and pop like that every time I start it? Sorry but it’s actually sounds good

Re: Car sound?

I'm not convinced this is a legitimate post, but I'll respond anyway.

As you describe the scenario, it sounds like what happened is excess fuel built up in the exhaust and eventually igniting, causing the loud pop. Had the car been running quite soon prior to the lack of start to where the exhaust would have been hot? Eventually, after a few times of such rich popping, you will likely blow open exhaust components. Although if it's already straight piped I'm not sure there's much to damage.
