Toyota Highland Temperature Control
I have a 2005 Toyota Highland V6 3.0. The car runs great, since last year, when the AC was on, Sometimes it suddenly blew out the warm air, and it had to turn the temperature knob around, back to cold position, and then cold air came out again. If someone had same experience, can you share how you fix it, and what part needs to be replaced?
Thanks your help. Michael |

Re: Toyota Highland Temperature Control
If this is the manual climate control, may be a problem behind the control knob with the wiring being cracked or the knob being loose. This is a common problem with this generation Highlander. Also, you have a 3.3 V6, the 3.0 V6 wasn't used in Highlander after 2003 model year.

Re: Toyota Highland Temperature Control
typesix,
The control knob is not loose. If wants to check the wire behind the control knob, does it need open the dash board? I checked Toyota dealer, it does not sell single control heat part behind the control knob, it needs to replace the whole unite, the whole unit price is $800. How did you fix this kind problem previous? |
