Talking NASCAR Models

I've noticed there is no love for the cars used in NASCAR, so here is a chance to show off your stock cars.

Honestly this forum leans more towards JGTC, rally racing, and Le Mans/nurburgring. It has been a long time; too long to remember actually, since I've seen a nascar car on here. Maybe this thread will bring them out from lurking.

You can find a lot more on BMC and HH forums.

NASCAR, the most boring and primitive of all race cars. Every body shape is identical. They have nothing in common with the cars they represent(what street car still uses carberators?)In otherwords NASCAR sucks! IMHO

Be posting on this one later when I get home, have a couple of nascar kits done and a few in the cupboard to be done. Am getting together a small collection of Cartoon network sponsored ones.

Re: NASCAR Models

And that's all!?...
I was wondering about getting a Nascar kit (even if they're at 1/25, and I would have prefered 1/24...), and searching on AF some models that would have inspired me...
I'm sure there's more Nascar lovers than this!!!! Where are you????

I love NASCAR racing, the cars and the people. It's a great American family sport. I have a couple kits on the shelf that I will be doing in the future.

And if NASCAR sucks so much, why is it the largest viewing sport in the world? Yes, bigger than soccer, baseball and football. And why do so many open wheel racers want to get a ride in one? Matter of fact, most of NASCAR drivers came from other schools of racing. There are not too many left that came from NASCAR families.

And it's pretty obivious that most of AF is into 'anything' other than American. But, that's where 'guys like me' come in.

I myself love looking at the builds here. All of them. I don't care if it's a Russian Tank or a ricer with a coffee can exhaust. I don't think anyone will ever see me post 'I hate it' in a thread. Life is too short to hate anything, including models, car types or the weather.

One of the major attractions to AF for me, was reading so many positive posts. Guys that never built an American car would reply "Awesome build!" AF reminded me of racing my phatass Crown Vic at the drags. Lots of the Ricer Boys would come over, make me pop my hood and tell them about my ride, all of them saying how cool it was. Even though every, single one of them could whoop my 4200# (1909 kgs) ass in the quarter. I'm for 'less hate' in this world.

J. Barry
