intake
It wont fit, the prelude intake points down to the ground and the accord intake points out... there are parts in the accord restricting the intake from being able to point down at the ground.

Hey man, just stick with the Accord one, I have the CAI from Injen and it works perfectly fine.. They are both identical in their performance aspect, its just that the piping is bent in slightly different in certain areas.

ok thanks. will do. ill have to deal with a seller now. i prematurely bought one on ebay for a prelude before thinking about placement.
ive noticed how the shortram for the prelude does bend down behind the battery. if i were to cut it before the bend so the filter went straight to the passenger side, instead of making the turn and going down... would it fit then?(jic im stuck paying for the prelude one) wags: is the accord intake the same diameter as the prelude? i was assuming the prelude would be bigger since it more powerful. i have an aem cai now, and its only 2.5" and i wanted 3". and, ive finally mad the switch to the "double deuce" as you like to call it ive paid for engine and installation and all the parts ill need now. i was going to upgrade the cams and valvetrain, but i decided to wait on that and build a more solid base first. ive got an act hdss clutch kit, dc header, new intake, apex exhaust and controller, msd ignition and all the water pump/belt crap. i still need to get a flywheel, but i have time while the motor is being shipped. oh and btw, i paid extra to get a lsd tranny.what other random little things should i upgrade? im assuming im missing something, but i cant think of anything.

why do you guys say no? have you actually tried them? I think the short rams would be different actually because of like you said the way they bend around the battery. but the cai's fit fine. and I dont know about other companies, but I do know aem accord is 2.5", 92-96 lude is 2.75" and 97+ lude is 3". I would get the 97+ lude personally.

'93,
I tried 2.75" then 2.5" then a 3" and went back to 2.5" then created a 3" to 2.5" hybrid for both a little more air pull & maintaining the torque. It may seem small but I actually did notice a little drop in torque response on my Akkord when I went all 3" to the throttle body. Just my personal 2 cents. I've noticed that AEM has recently done the same thing for their new CAI.
