2002-2008 BMW 750LI Battery Replacement

Tools:
10mm 13mm sockets
6in extension

Problem:
Dead Battery

Repair:
The battery is located inside of your trunk. Since it is a electronic trunk you will need to release the key inside of your key fob. Above the tag on the right hand side you will find a key hole to open the trunk. Inside of the trunk you will need to fully expose the spare tire. Remove the spare tire. On the right side of the trunk will be a release panel that will expose the top of the battery. Using your 10mm socket remove the two terminals NEGATIVE FIRST. (You can short the battery with your tools). Using your 13mm with extension remove the 13mm bolt that holds the bracket for the battery. The battery slides to the left where the spare tire was. Reinstall a Group Size 49 battery.
