Vacuum leak
I have 00 Silverado 1500 Z71. I have a bad vacuum leak at the intake manifold where the EGR tube goes into it. I can't seem to get it to seal. The flange on the tube has 2 bolt holes but intake only has one. Any ideas or suggestions?

gently remove the tube with the one bolt there should be a o-ring on it replace the o-ring apply a small amount of lube on the new o-ring before replacing as not to tear it the 2 bolt is they use this tube on various vehicles hince the extra mount

if you remove the one bolt holding it to the TB on the side and it does not come off easy with a tab then you can remove the TB bolts then using a star socket remove the TB mounting studs.. then you can rotate the TB so the EGR tube can come off.
on the engine of this year the intake manifold GM gaskets get damaged for alcohol fuel .. so if your having a lean condition and these gaskets have not been replaced this is another problem with the vacuum leak lean codes both banks ..
