VW New Beetle GSR

Here's my latest project I just started.

The Tamiya VW New Beetle. I had a few of them in my stash so I thought it was about time to start one of them.

I had the idea to make a two-tone paintjob like the old Beetle has, but then I came across the latest Beetle GSR. I liked it so much, I decided to make this Beetle in GSR style.

The kit is very simple, especially the interior. No door details at all. I don't care about that so I'm not going to add much detail to the interior I think.

The wheels will be replaced for Detroit wheels from a Golf MK5 GTI. The color will be Fayence Yellow.

Re: VW New Beetle GSR

I started with the body. After sanding and scribing I was able to lay down a few layers of primer and paint. After that I masked off the body and painted the black striping and parts.

Re: VW New Beetle GSR

Done with the interior. Just simple grey/black with interiorflocking.

Chassis is lowered a bit and wheatered. New wheels are fitted in place. They can even steer

And finally the body. I added all the clearparts. The sidewindow were a nightmare. Barely no place to glue and they fitt really tight.
