Talking Speed Racer Mach V model!!! (8 pics)

Hi! I finally have a model of the coolest car ever: The Mach V from Speed Racer or Mach Go Go Go as it was called in Japan!! It's an Aoshima kit that was originally done by Imai but Imai went bankrupt last year and Aoshima bought their assets. The model comes with all of the features of the cartoon car and it even has a detailed engine with supplied wires for the engine!! Also is a comparison pic of another model of the car along with my small collection of Speed Racer Memorabilia. Now for the pictures!

I've seen this model a few times but never been bothered with it. Looks quite interesting, what with etched parts and all. Don't know anything about the cartoon but kinda reminds me of Pole Position - anyone remember that?

Lol! He probably means the cartoon! It was somewhat similar to Speed Racer.

I just bought the 1/18th scale diecast of the Mach 5 and it's great, I hope you do a great job, looking to see progress on it.

I'm 98% sure my local hobby shop has one of these, or a very similar kit to this. Looks like it would be great fun to build too
