Defend Racing R33 Skyline GT-R

This is a Fujimi kit but with a semi scratchbuilt/hacked about interior and many interior parts such as the rollcage, dashboard and seat*taken from a SuperGT Skyline R33 by Tamiya. The Fujimi kit comes with a standard road car interior. The underside of the car is modificed from (I've been told) a Mercedes kit and is entirely inaccurate to a Skyline, but that's Fujimi!

Great lookin build. I'm curious about the kit as I've never seen it before. It's been like over 10 years since I've seen Fujimi issue modified version of cars. If anything I thought Aoshima was only doing that now.

Is this an old kit? I do miss Fujimi's old tuner car kits, like their discontinued veilside kits or random ones like the garage mak S15. The quality was questionable but it still was better than starting from bone stock.

It is quite old. I got it from a secondhand model kit shop, and the copyright date on the Fujmi box is 2003.
