Sauber C9, Tamiya, 1/24
Hi,
I finished the year with another completed model, the Tamiya kit of the '89 LeMans winner. It's an easy to build kit, only the air intakes for the front brake ducts look a bit strange. The rear cowling fits better than it looks on the photos. The decals were a bit on the old side as well. I used some etched parts made by Studio27, but not all parts of the set. I painted with TS-30 from the airbrush, IMHO the perfect colour for those silver arrows. I didn't clear coat this time (that's why you see some decal edges) because the usual Mr. Super clear made the silver a bit dull and I want to try the Alclad aqua clear on a spare body before I dare to go on a completed build. Therefore the body is not glued on, also mirrors etc. are only glued with Liquitape, so I can easily put clear on later. As usual I made Leukosilk belts and added some wires in the engine bay. Hope you like it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Sauber C9, Tamiya, 1/24
very nice model Marco. I see you studied well the car also, correctingly filling the gap line in the front panel between the lights. Very good, as usual.
