re: a problem with the diagnostic port
There is a problem with the computer diagnostic port in my 2000 Windstar sel. The computer says there is no power to the port. I looked at the fuse block and I can't tell which fuse to check. I need to get the diagnostic port working so I can get the readings on the gas gauge problem.

Re: a problem with the diagnostic port
Ford did a number of circuit re-designs during these years on the Windstar ....BUT, on my '99, it is cabin-fuse #17 that drives the data-port. This fuse also feeds the cigar lighter/power-port. 20 amp.

Re: a problem with the diagnostic port
Thanks for the info. It just happens to be that the cigar lighter doesn't work ether. I wounder what else is powered off # 17 cabin fuse. Again thanks for the info. You saved me hours of looking at the fuse block diagram that I just down loaded.

Re: a problem with the diagnostic port
update on the "cabin-fuse #17 that drives the data-port. This fuse also feeds the cigar lighter/power-port. 20 amp." Someone stuck in a 15 amp fuse instead of the required 20 amp fuse and maybe plugged something into cigar lighter and pop went the fuse. Now the computer diag port works.
