Loose steering in rack an pinion

I have a 96 Dakota and my tire on the passenger side is wobbling at all speeds. I jack up the truck and moved the wheel by hand and it seems the tie rod is moving back and forth from the rack and pinion side. I checked the driver wheel it was fine. Is there an adjustment or repair for this or do I need,to replace the rack and pinion?
