Question on diagnostic time

Question for the group : I have my 4 runner in the shop for a air conditioner repair i have an extended warranty which the repair facility ended up talking to the warranty company said all is covered. When i got the call this morning said car is ready but i had an hour of diagnostic time of an hour that needed to be paid.I called the warranty company spoke to them they said that the repair was covered and the appropriate time to repair was paid per they said they use a system called all data ( which was explained this is what everyone uses giving them the time to find the problem and repair it was what i understood form them) Why is the dealer charging me more ?

You need to look over your warranty paperwork. Just because the repair is covered doesn't necessarily mean diagnostic time is covered.
