Suggestions for large model car kit?

I have a 3D printer. I would like a large model car kit that can be easily measured so that I can create parts for 3D-printing. The kit should have hood, trunk lid, and doors that open and close, good enough details on parts, etc. I tried looking at websites and books but it's hard for me to create parts because the pictures of parts are not flat 2D. For example, the front suspension arms. I would like a large model car kit of 1970s Chevrolet Chevelle.

The closest thing to a 70's Chevelle in large scale would be the Foose 69 Camaro.

Even larger are the 1/8 Corvette or the 1/8 F-body 80's Camaro.

Re: Suggestions for large model car kit?

I decided to get a 1/16 scale model of a 1955 Chevy Nomad 2-door station wagon. I already have 1957 Chevy Belair 2-door hardtop and 1965 Ford Mustang 2-door hardtop but they were already built.

Re: Suggestions for large model car kit?

I got the 1/16 scale model 1955 Chevy Nomad kit today and tried to measure the engine block but it's hard for me to do it. I have steel ruler and digital caliper. I can access info at http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/ but not all info and drawings are available. Any suggestions? I also need rods and tubes that can slide inside each other.
