Thumbs up Engine/performance differences from the 91 base model, and lx/dx models!

Why does the 91 base have like 70 stock, and the dx/lx has like 90.....

dont they both have DPFI?

What are the parts causing the power differences?

Thanks, Laterz, Andrew

The D15B6 (standard and HF models) has a SOHC, 8 valve head and the D15B2(DX and LX models) has a SOHC, 16 valve head. Thats one of the differences.

D15B1s had 70hp, they were the STD engine.

D15B2s had 92hp, they were the DX/LX engine.

Both had DPFI.

D15B6 had 60hp, was from the HF, and was MPFI.

I think the B1 also had a different cam then the B2, and yeah STD had the Cat on the header unlike the DX, actually I think 88 STD had it just like the DX but the rest had it on the header. Also all these engines had intake manifolds probably not big enough to drop a golf ball in (supposing there were no butterflies and all that of course).
