10R in trouble

http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/pink-f...gtr-1793420790 Looks like Woking will have another restoration job on its hands. I know he's one of the owners that's been willing to share his cars with the world and I'm glad for it. But this is a reminder that there's always a risk to that. Also glad he's ok.

Woking or Petersfield will fix that - most likely Petersfield as they 'look after' the car for Ten Tenths

Re: 10R in trouble

Luckily it is only the nearside front doubt it made any damage to the central tub area just the front extensions. Possible some suspension/steering damage, new radiator maybe naturally front bodywork.

Re: 10R in trouble

Near side rear too - new rear bumper, crack test and most likely replace rear suspension, wheel. hub, brakes, possibly side hatch and innards if hit hard enough etc etc

Didn't see the damage to the rear so looking like quite a big bill then.

Re: 10R in trouble

I think it hit left rear first on the wall, then side and then finally nose, when I wathched it 1000 times step by step from the video. I really hope the chassis is OK. Fortuntaly it wasn't concrete or steel wall.
Hope we can see it soon back on the roads.!

Re: 10R in trouble

I understand the heritage angle but I've never been a fan of the GTR text scrambled across the car. Would much rather see it in solid red and have all the lines and aero tweaks show.

Re: 10R in trouble

I prefer it the way it is - plain red was kind of boring. Also I think the market will favor originality in most cases where it is feasible and without any kind of milestone event in its history since it did not race, going back to the its beginnings is therefore most appropriate.

Re: 10R in trouble

@Peleton25 Fair enough. At the risk of taking this off topic, any nominations for best Mclaren liveries? I'd have to say either #24 Gulf or #39 Fina.

That video is painful to watch...I've always loved that 10R livery.

There are too many nice ones. Any off the black Davidoff (short tail #8 and longtail #25), Fina (#39 and #42), Lark (short tail), and black Loctite (longtail) ones look great imo.

Re: 10R in trouble

Most people will know of my love for the 1995 Gulf livery and I was overjoyed when 02R regained this livery.
Saying that the Lark livery of 13R is running it a close second in my eyes though I know a lot of people can't get over the pink?
