Have I damaged the airbag coil on the steering wheel?

I was using a wheel pulling kit but I stripped out the bolt holes, so I had to use a tap and die to make new threads. I drilled a bit too far and slightly scraped the airbag coil. I'm 99% sure that it's just fine, but the airbag is such a dangerous system that I don't want to take any risks.

Is this a problem, or will it not hurt anything?

It's a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500.

If there was any issue the air bag lite would stay on, if that does happen there is a problem of course. Caution should always be exercised when working on or deciding on whether your system is safe.
