O2 sensor multiple failures
I have repeatedly replaced the B2S2 O2 sensor on my Tundra 4.7L. I have used the OEM, Cheapos and Bosch sensors over the last 3 years. Every winter I get a "Sensor heater circuit failure" code.
ideas? |

Re: O2 sensor multiple failures
Never heard of that before.
You replace in the winter and it's OK until next winter?

Re: O2 sensor multiple failures
Yes sir. About this time every year. The sensor doesn't even have time to corrode.

Re: O2 sensor multiple failures
have you checked the 'bad' O2 sensor to see if the heater is actually bad?
I'm guessing the resistance could be checked with a DMM. The FSM would say for sure how to test it. Maybe the ECM is supplying too high a voltage to that sensor, killing it?
