Re: What is the best oil additive?

I use Duralube, seems to work awesome, cleans the sludge and quiets things down. Although I have noticed over the past 10 years they keep uping the duration you need to use it. Over 10 years ago it was every 25 thousand kms, now it says to use every oil change, I don't know if they changed the formula or what, it still works though.

I have a 02 dodge Intrepid with the 2.7 V6. This engine has a rep for sludging up. I got the car from my parents when it had about 50K on the odometer. I right away started using 10W30 Royal Purple synthetic in it. At 113,000 miles I needed to put a new water pump in. To do that you have to take the valve valve covers and the timing cover off the front. While it was apart I decided to replace the oil pump which involved dropping the pan. The engine looked new inside. My 350 engine in my land cruiser has over 150,000 and I run 20/50 royal purple in it. If you have an old engine with lots of miles I suggest going to a heavier oil rather than additives. If it is burning oil and you can't rebuild it use Sea foam and sell it.

Re: What is the best oil additive?

Everglide is the best for me. I was a tufoil user before, but shifted to Everglide as I wanted to try using an oil additive that is moly and graphene based. The analysis and tests that were conducted using Everglide is brilliant. Nano-based is incredible. So far, so good. Overheating and noise issues are now gone.
