Rebuilding Fujimi's Sil-80 (1:24)
Completed more than 10 years ago this was my first car model.
A couple of months ago, while cleaning up the model's shelf, my cat managed to throw some from the table top to the floor! I decided to repair them and this is the result of repainting the Sil-80. After removing all body paint and repairing some problems, a coat of primer was applied. ![]() ![]() ![]() Some small issues were noticed and corrected before the application of a further primer coat, readying it for color application. ![]() ![]() After 2 coats of paint, decals were applied. ![]() ![]() I hope to apply clear gloss soon and complete it in a couple of weekends. Re: Rebuilding Fujimi's Sil-80 (1:24)
Here are a few more photos.
After polishing the clear coated base color, the body was masked and satin black was applied (sorry for the bad white balance on these photos). ![]() ![]() After removing the mask, a tooth pick was used to clean up some paint that creaked under the masking tape. ![]() I hope to post more soon.
