Unhappy SC belt too small but still ran 14.8

I went to the track last night, and ran a 14.8 @ 91.5mph, with the belt slipping at high RPM's.. it sux,

I did the 3.25 pully swap, and the CAI. I heald my own with a Mustang GT. I had him by 2 car lengths, and the belt started slipping, he beat me, by like 1/2 a second. I think that I would have had him. I am going to buy a smaller belt today....

I plan on going back to the track next week or the week after. I will keep you all posted

What mods have you done? You sure it wasn't KR killing your times?

I recommend doing a lot more mods with the 3.4" pulley before going down to the 3.25", it's too small and you're running into too much KR.

Recommended mods:

U-bend removal (resonator as well if you like)
plugs
wires
actual CAI or FWI
downpipe/highflow cat
water injection

headers
rockers
cam
intercooler

the lower mods you can do when you want to go with a 3.25" pulley

yep.. That is why I switched to the 3.4 I still might do some more mods, but think that I am done screwing with it, and quit trying to make this car a race car, and buy an old GTO or something that I can tinker with, that if I blow it up I can still get to work.........
